Going abroad by myself for the first time With blessings from family and friends 1 suitcase, 1 backpack, 1 courage A former colleague asked me what I expected from going on a working holiday. Why choose Australia ? In my 24, I worked for 3 years after graduate,   my job was due to be completed. When I was thinking about my next job/direction in life, my ex-boyfriend suggested going on a working holiday. Although I was a little confused about this, I wanted to broaden my horizons. I also think this is a good direction. I have read a lot of articles about Hong Konger/Taiwanese taking working holidays in Australia, and most of them don’t have very good reviews of the work. However, the characteristics of working holidays have given me a boost. At work, some of them did illegal work and were paid low prices, some picked grapes until all ten fingers were injured, and some had to clean toilets... At my 29, I walked almost 800km on the Camino de Santiago in 35 days. Following the year, I started my 2nd working holiday scheme to New Zealand.
