Melbourne 1 day trip : The Great Ocean Road
The Great Ocean Road is a road along the coastline. It is in the southwest of Melbourne, starting from the city, and has a total length of 400 kilometers to the South Australian border. A group of seven of us first went along the road to the famous West Gate bridge. It is the only highway from Geelong, the second largest province in Victoria. It is very busy. Another major feature of it is that, Under the bridge is a salt lake, a small pink lake! The pink lake is due to the relatively high salt content and different algae in the lake. The lake surface will change color with the sunlight. We deliberately chose to arrive at noon. Unfortunately, only the edges were dyed red and we could not see a pink lake. After that, we went all the way south to the surfing paradise Torquay.
