My first home:Bear’s home
Going abroad by myself for the first time
With blessings from family and friends
1 suitcase, 1 backpack, 1 courage
A former colleague asked me what I expected from going on a working holiday. I thought it must be to get to know myself better, to face people and things alone, and to feel the sky of a foreign country.
For me, who has never tried to travel alone, never had the opportunity to live in a hall, and was pampered like a princess every day, going abroad alone is not an easy task. In fact, I can’t figure out where I got the courage to do so. Just want to go😂
After a 9-hour flight, I arrived at Melbourne, my first stop in Australia and the city where I stayed the longest. And my first home, Bear’s home, which I chose a Taiwanese landlord who had immigrated to Melbourne for many years. I am very grateful to the landlord for their hospitality and introduction.
At that time, I rented a bed in a 4-person girls’ dormitory with 2 other Taiwanese girls and 1 Hong Kong girl. There were about 8 people living in the whole house, sharing 1 kitchen & 3 bathrooms. In this way, my wonderful working holiday this year has officially started.😁
